BLUES SECURE PLAYOFF BERTH WITH WIN AGAINST TMU

Box Score The University of Toronto Blues women's soccer team beat the TMU Bold 4-0 on Thursday (Oct. 6) evening at Downsview Park.
 
The Blues now hold a 7-2 record this season with 21 points, sitting in second place in the OUA East division. With the win, the Blues now clinch a playoff spot for the 2022 season.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Blues opened the scoring in the game with a goal from Karly Hellstrom in the 14th minute. The Blues would double their lead quickly when forward Miranda Badovinac scored two minutes later. 
 

 

 
Lindsay Bosveld would add a third goal for the Blues at the end of the first half (45').
 

 
Jayda Olak would cap off the scoring for the Blues late in the second half (90').
 

 
UP NEXT: The Varsity Blues return to action Saturday, October 8th when they faceoff against Toronto Metropolitan University at Varsity Stadium for their final home game of the regular season. Kick off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
