The Varsity Blues made their way to Hamilton, Ont., for their final competition before the 2022 OUA championships.
Running in the Bay Front Open, the Blues women's and men's team placed fifth and sixth respectively.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Leading the women's team, Christina Esposito was the first Blue to cross the finish line, placing 21
st.
Placing 32
nd overall, Sophie Levasseur concluded her race in a time of 31:12.2. After Levasseur finished, three more Blues followed in closely behind with E.J. Boston (35
th), Joud Dabous (37
th) and Katherine Vuckovic (39
th) all crossing the finish line no more than 43 seconds after Levasseur.
Running in the men's race, the Blues top finisher was Ben Shore, who's time of 25:15.1 put him in 16
th place. Just over 30 seconds behind Shore, Brandon Raftis crossed the finish line in 24
th. Rounding out the Blues top five runners were Adam Pralat (31
st), Owen Moloney (39
th) and Anton Mlynczk (46
th).
UP NEXT: The Blues runners will head to Thames Valley for the 2022 OUA championships hosted by Western on October 29.
