BLUES HEAD TO LONDON FOR BATTLE WITH MUSTANGS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's soccer team takes on the Western Mustangs in OUA quarter-final action on Wednesday, November 3 in London, Ont.

Game time is set for 7 p.m. Live stats will be available for the match here.

The Blues are coming off an electric weekend, which saw them earn four of a possible six points over the No. 8 nationally-ranked and previously unbeaten Nipissing Lakers.

Toronto finished the regular season in second place in the OUA Central division with a 6-3-1 record, earning the sixth seed overall. The Mustangs finished atop the OUA West division after going 6-2-2 and are seeded third heading into the post season.

U of T has met Western six times in the post season in program history. Although the Mustangs hold a 4-2 head-to-head advantage in those contests, the Blues won the latest as they topped Western 2-1 in penalty kicks in the 2019 OUA semifinal round.

First-year winger Hannah Harkin has led the Blues offensively, ranking third in the province with nine goals in 10 games this season, while fifth-year goalkeeper Levanta Staggolis has started in 7-of-10 games, recording six wins and earning five clean sheets.

Third-year midfielder Natalie Abbate topped the Mustangs offensively with nine goals, while goalkeeper Samantha St. Crois allowed a mere three goals against in six games this season.
