The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's lacrosse team swept the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks on Saturday, October 9 with 15-8 and 11-19 wins at Varsity Stadium.

Toronto 15, Ontario Tech 8

Sophomore attack Jessica Diantonio led Toronto with six goals in Game 1, while Giulianna Frizzi led the team with two assists. Lily Brooks chipped in with three goals and Lily Sedore added two of her own. Rylin Cormier, Kristie Liu, Madison Sprout and Mary Frost all got on the scoresheet with one goal each. 

Olivia Hofmann got her third win of the year in net.

Toronto 11, Ontario Tech 10

In Game 2, Diantonio continued her scoring ways, putting four in the back of the net. Cormier and Frizzi each contributed with two goals, while Lily Brooks and Lily Sedore had one apiece. 

Hofmann earned her second win of the day.

UP NEXT: The Blues head to Kingston, Ont., to take on the Queen's Gaels on Saturday, October 16. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
