The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's lacrosse team fell 19-5 to the Western Mustangs and 13-5 to the Laurier Golden Hawks in their 2019 season openers on Sunday (Sept. 8) in Kingston, Ont.
 
Rhiannon Panting led the Blues with two goals in the first game of the day, while Leah Hickey, Laurel McGillis and Heather McDougall each added single tallies in the loss.
 
Against Laurier, Panting and Mary Frost each scored twice, with Lily Sedore rounding out the scoring.
 
UP NEXT: The Blues take on the York Lions and Trent Excalibur next Saturday, September 14 at Ontario Tech University in Oshawa, Ont.
