The University of Toronto Varsity Blues football team take on the McMaster Marauders in our Under Armour Game of the Week this Saturday, October 5 at Varsity Stadium at 1 p.m.

The Blues are 2-3 and in a four-way tie for the last playoff spot, while the No. 5 Marauders are 4-1 and in a three-way tie for second place in the OUA standings.
Saturday will see the top two quarterbacks in the country go head-to-head. Fourth-year Blues pivot Clay Sequeira continues to lead all U SPORTS quarterbacks, averaging 392 yards per game and throwing for 20 touchdowns so far this season. Marauders QB Andreas Dueck sits right behind him with 316.6 yards per game, while throwing for nine TDs.
The Blues also boast two of the best receivers in the country. Nolan Lovegrove and Will Corby lead the OUA with 109.8 and 108.6 receiving yards per game, respectively, while also co-leading all U SPORTS receivers with six touchdowns apiece.
Defensively, linebackers Daniel Solaroli and Damoy Robinson lead the Blues with 30 and 31 total tackles, respectively, so far this season. 2019 CFL draftee Malcolm Campbell ranks second in the province with five sacks in as many games.
Defensive back Nolan Putt leads McMaster and ranks ninth in the OUA with 32.5 tackles in five games.
Toronto will be sporting special socks on Saturday in support of the Happy Soul Project. Fifth-year Varsity Blues linebacker Matt Renaud is a member of the Happy Soul Project, U of T chapter, which aims to provide support and encouragement to persons and families with disabilities, terminal illnesses or vast differences by advocating for inclusivity to eliminate prejudice and discrimination.
