The University of Toronto Varsity Blues dominated the York Lions, 23-2, before falling 17-5 to the Trent Excalibur in OUA women's lacrosse action on Saturday, September 14 in Oshawa, Ont.

HOW IT HAPPENED: Lauren Li scored six goals to lead the Blues to their first win of the season on Saturday morning. Lily Sedore and Jessica Diantonio added four apiece, while Nicole Basten and Heather McDougall each netted hat tricks. Anna-Marie Moschitto scored twice and Caitlin Downs added a single tally to round out the victory.

In the second game of the day, Toronto faced off against a strong Trent squad. McDougall and Payler led the Blue with two goals each, while Mary Frost added one goal in the loss.

UP NEXT: The Blues are back in action next Saturday, September 21 when they travel to Waterloo, Ont., to take on the McMaster Marauders.
