The University of Toronto Varsity Blues fencing team won the RMC Cup at the 50th annual RMC Invitational this past weekend (Nov. 2-3) in Kingston, Ont.
The Blues earned three silver-medal finishes over the weekend. The men's foil team of David Chen-Li, Téo Lemay and Edward Li placed second out of 33 teams, while the men's epee team of Beston Leung, Johnathan Zimmerman and Sebastian Sun were second of 37 teams.
Toronto's women's sabre team of Rebecca Jeffrey, Isadora Esther Falkson and Astrid Chandler also finished second in a field of 18 teams.
U of T's men's sabre team of Filbert Yung, Cameron Haigh and Boris Ng placed sixth out of 27 teams, while the women's foil team of Siobhan Drysdale, Caroline Placko and Yan Li were seventh out of 21 teams.
The Blues women's epee team of Leanna Lui, Yilin Xu and Yena Lee placed 12th out of 26 teams.
