The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's and women's fencing teams opened their 2019-20 season at the Queen's Open this past weekend (Oct. 26-27) in Kingston, Ont.

First-year standout Astrid Chandler won the women's sabre event, while top eight finishes were also recorded by Johnathan Zimmerman in the men's epee and Filbert Yung in the men's sabre.

UP NEXT: The Blues head back to Kingston for the RMC Invitational, November 2-3.
