MEN'S CURLING CONTINUES TO GROW AT BROCK

The Varsity Blues men's curling team went 1-3 at the Brock University Bonspiel in St. Catharines, Ont., on January 19-20.

Toronto started the weekend with an 8-2 win over the York Lions, before dropping a 12-6 decision to Sault College. The Blues fell 6-1 to the Trent Excalibur and 5-2 to the Guelph Gryphons to wrap up their weekend.

The team contains a young roster with only one player, fourth-year second Jack Weber, that has represented the Blues for more than two seasons. Fifth-year head coach John Rudd was pleased of what he saw throughout the weekend.

"Overall it was a successful event. We made good progress with our performance goals and learned a lot about playing under pressure," said Rudd. "I was happy with the team dynamics and the effort the team put in every time they stepped on the ice."

The Blues are back in action this upcoming weekend (Jan. 26-27), when they travel to Hamilton, Ont., to participate in the McMaster Bonspiel.
