The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's lacrosse team fell 10-6 to the Trent Excalibur before rebounding with a 14-4 victory over the York Lions on Saturday, September 29 in Hamilton, Ont.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Laurel McGillis led the Blues with two goals and an assist versus Trent, while Brynne Yarranton had two goals and Mary Anne Meerasabeer and Heather McDougall added singles in the loss. Yarranton led Toronto with four goals and one assist in the win over York. McDougall notched three goals, while Chenez Power and Lauren Li each scored twice. Sarah Morgan and Mary Frost added one goal apiece in the victory.Â
UP NEXT: The Blues head to Oshawa, Ont., next Saturday, October 6 to take on the Queen's Gaels (10:15 a.m.) and UOIT Ridgebacks (1:45 p.m.).
