The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's soccer team dropped a narrow 1-0 decision to the Queen's Gaels in the 2018 Old Four Tournament final on Sunday, August 19 in Kingston, Ont.
 
The Blues advanced to the final after a 1-0 victory over the Western Mustangs yesterday.
 
Toronto and Queen's played 89 minutes of scoreless soccer before the Gaels broke the deadlock in the 90th minute.
 
"It was a positive experience for us this weekend as we looked to introduce some concepts and ideas, while also evaluating players for our final roster," said Varsity Blues head coach Luciano Lombardi. "We look forward to a strong week of training before we open season play next weekend."
 
The Varsity Blues kick off their regular season at home next Saturday, August 25 as they host the Trent Excalibur at Varsity Centre. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m.
