BLUES BOUNCE BACK TO GO 1-1 IN OSHAWA

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's lacrosse team dropped their first contest 11-2 to the Queen's Gaels, but ended the day on the right foot with a 16-7 win over the UOIT Ridgebacks on Saturday, October 6 at Oshawa, Ont.

HOW IT HAPPENED: Brynne Yarranton led the way with a goal and an assist, while Mary-Anne Meerasabeer recorded the other marker in the loss to Queen's. Yarranton helped Toronto bounce back against the Ridgebacks. The medicine major led the way with five goals, while Heather McDougall chipped in with three of her own. Sarah Morgan registered a goal and three assists, with Laurel McGillis, and Breanna Veneruz both adding two tallies in the victory.  

UP NEXT: The Blues travel back to Oshawa, Ont., next weekend to cap off their regular season. They duel the Brock Badgers (1:15pm) on Saturday, October 13 than battle the Western Mustangs (1:15pm) and McMaster Marauders (6:15pm) the next day.
