WOMEN’S LACROSSE 4TH AT OUA CHAMPIONSHIP

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's lacrosse team went down to the wire in the OUA bronze-medal match, dropping a 6-5 overtime decision to the host Trent Excalibur on Sunday, October 21.

Tied 3-3 at halftime, both teams battled back and forth throughout the second half. Toronto's top two leading goal scorers, Brynne Yarranton and Heather McDougall scored as the game remained deadlocked at 5-5 to force overtime.

The Excalibur scored with 90 seconds remaining in the extra frame to secure the win.

McDougall led the Blues with two goals and two assists, while Yarranton had two goals and Mary Anne Meerasabeer added one goal in the loss.
