The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's tennis team defeated the York Lions 5-2 on Sunday, September 10 at York University campus.
Veteran Sasha Obucina and partner Stefan M. registered an 8-4 win in the No. 2 doubles match. Obucina followed that up with a 6-1, 6-0 win at the No. 1 singles spot.
Other singles wins were scored by veterans Nathan Wong, Andrew Bourne and Marusic. The No. 1 doubles win was chalked up by Cameron Chiang and Bourne.
The Varsity Blues are back in action next Saturday, September 16 at the Western University campus. The Blues then host the McMaster Marauders on Sunday, September 17.
