BLUES REACH PODIUM FIVE TIMES AT ONTARIO CHAMPIONSHIPS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues fencing team earned five podium results this past weekend (Mar. 4) at the Ontario championships.

As two of the four members of the gold medal men's foil team, veterans Paul Godin and Tom Feore reached the top step for U of T's lone gold medals of the weekend.

Standouts at the OUA championships in their respective events, both Colin Dale and William Kinney added to their medal collections with silver results in the epee and sabre respectively.

Meanwhile, on the women's side Rebecca Jeffrey followed up her OUA silver medal performance in the women's individual sabre event with another second place finish in the junior sabre event at the Ontario-wide tournament.

Joining Jeffrey on the podium for the Blues was the women's epee foursome of Linnea Sage, Maeve McLeod, Yena Lee, and Shannon Blachar who earned bronze in the team relay.
