BLUES END IN STALEMATE WITH VOYAGEURS

Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's soccer team battled to a 0-0 draw with the Laurentian Voyageurs in Sudbury, Ont. on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 15).

With the draw, the Blues record sits at 6-6-2 (W-L-D) on the season placing them in a tie for fifth in the OUA East division. The Voyageurs sit just two-points ahead in the standings in fourth with a 6-4-4 record.

Second-year goalkeeper Stephania Turyk earned the clean sheet for the Varsity Blues making eight saves on the afternoon.

Striking duo Natasha Klasios and Chelsea Cheung led the Blues in scoring opportunities recording four and two shots on goal respectively.

U of T returns to Varsity Stadium where they will end the regular season looking for crucial points in the OUA playoff race. First, the Blues will challenge the RMC Paladins on Friday, October 20 before welcoming the Queen's Gaels for their regular season finale on Saturday, October 21. Friday kicks off at 6:00 p.m., with Saturday set for 6:15 p.m.
