The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's lacrosse team defeated the York Lions 12-3 on Tuesday night (Oct. 10) at Alumni Stadium.
 
Veteran attack Mary Anne Meerasabeer led the Blues with four goals and two assists, while sophomore midfielder Sarah Morgan scored one goal and added three helpers on the night.
 
Laurel McGillis and Sarah Jamieson each scored twice, while Melissa Holland, Geneva Calder and June Shiraishi each added a single tally in the dominant win.
 
The Varsity Blues are back in action this Saturday, October 14 as they travel to Waterloo, Ont., to take on the Laurier Golden Hawks and McMaster Marauders. The Blues wrap up the regular season at home on Sunday, October 15 versus the Brock Badgers at Varsity Stadium at 12 p.m.
