NO. 10 GAELS GET PAST BLUES

Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's soccer team fell 6-2 to the No. 10 nationally ranked Queen's Gaels on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 1) in Kingston, Ont.
 
The Gaels got out to fast start and built a 4-0 lead at the half, led by two goals from Jenny Wolever.
 
Third-year striker Natasha Klasios got the Blues on the board in the 50th minute, but Queen's restored the four-goal cushion three minutes later.
 
Klasios netted her second of the game in the 63rd, but the Gaels responded again in the 85th to round out the scoring.
 
Second-year Blues goalkeeper Vanna Staggolis made nine saves in the loss.
 
The Varsity Blues return to action on Saturday, October 14 as they travel to North Bay, Ont., to take on the Nipissing Lakers.
