DRYSDALE PICKS UP SILVER AT NEWMARKET OPEN

Second-year standout Siobhan Drysdale earned the top result for the University of Toronto Varsity Blues fencing team as she picked up a silver medal in the senior women's foil event at this weekends (Nov. 26-27) Newmarket Open which saw the Blues challenege both club and university competitors.

Joining Drysdale in the foil event was first-year physics major Jing Fei Yu who finished the weekend in 12th place.

On the men's side, third-year veteran Joshua Efe picked up the top result for the Blues finishing seventh in the senior men's epee event.

Fellow Blues Yu Chen Yao and Paul Godin placed ninth and 10th in the foil category.

U of T fencing is next scheduled to compete in the Canada Cup taking place in Richmond, British Columbia from Jan. 27-29.
