BLUES DOWN LIONS, FALL TO EXCALIBUR

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's lacrosse team defeated the York Lions 6-3 before falling to the Trent Excalibur 18-3 on Saturday, October 8 at York University.
 
The Blues improve to 9-3 and remain in second place in the OUA East division.
 
Melissa Holland led the Blues with two goals in their 6-3 win over York. Corinne Bertoia, Alex Walton, Damra Camat and Zoe Chad each scored one in the win.
 
Toronto was unable to hand Trent their first loss of the season in the second game of the day. Sarah Jamieson notched two goals with Laurel McGillis scoring U of T's third goal in the loss.
 
The Varsity Blues return to action next Monday, October 17 when they travel to St. Catharines, Ont., to wrap up their regular season schedule vs the Brock Badgers. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
