BLUES COME BACK TO BEAT GRYPHONS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's lacrosse team used a strong second half to defeat the Guelph Gryphons 10-8 on Monday, October 3 in Guelph, Ont.
 
Down 6-4 at halftime, the Blues held the Gryphons to just two goals in the latter half of the game.
 
Geneva Calder led the Blues with four goals, three of which came in the second half. Sarah Jamieson added two goals and one assist, while Laurel McGillis had one goals and two assists on the night.
 
Zoe Chad and Melissa Holland each tallied one goal and one assist, with Sarah Morgan scoring one goal in the victory.
 
The Varsity Blues are back in action this Saturday, October 8 when they travel to York to take on the Lions and Trent. Game times are 8:30 a.m., and 1:45 p.m., respectively.
