WOMEN’S LACROSSE FALLS TO GRYPHONS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's lacrosse team dropped a narrow 8-6 decision to the Guelph Gryphons in consolation semi-final action at the 2016 OUA championship on Saturday, October 22 in Hamilton, Ont.
 
Down 5-4 at halftime, the Blues scored two quick goals to take the 6-5 advantage, but the Gryphons responded with three unanswered goals to secure the victory.
 
Veteran Melissa Holland led the Blues with two goals, while Geneva Calder, Sarah Morgan, Damra Camat and Laurel McGillis each had one in the loss.
 
The Varsity Blues will wrap up their 2016 season versus the McMaster Marauders tomorrow morning (Oct. 23) at 9 a.m.

Game 12: Toronto vs. McMaster (9:00 am)
