The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's lacrosse team suffered a 10-8 quarter-final loss to the Brock Badgers on Day 1 of the OUA championship (Oct. 21) in Hamilton, Ont.

Tied 6-6 at halftime, the Badgers scored three straight goals to take a 9-6 advantage. The Blues battled back with two goals from Alex Walton, but Brock added a late tally to seal the victory.

Zoe Chad led the Blues with four goals, while Walton had two on the day. Melissa Holland and Sarah Morgan each scored once in the loss.

The Blues will now take on the Guelph Gryphons in consolation semi-final action tomorrow (Oct. 22) at 1:30 p.m.
