The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's lacrosse team wrapped up the 2016 regular season with a 14-10 loss to the Brock Badgers on Monday, October 17 in St. Catharines, Ont.
 
With the loss, the Blues finish the season 9-4 in third place in the OUA East division.
 
Tied 6-6 at halftime, the Badgers scored six straight goals late in the second half to secure the win.
 
Melissa Holland and Laurel McGillis led the Blues with three goals each, while Alex Walton had two on the night. Zoe Chad and Sarah Jamieson each scored once in the loss.
 
The Blues are back in action this weekend as they head to Hamilton for the 2016 OUA championship, October 21-23, hosted by McMaster University.
