BLUES REMAIN PERFECT IN PETERBOROUGH

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's lacrosse team improved to 4-0 with two big wins over the Queen's Gaels and Guelph Gryphons on Saturday (Sept. 26) in Peterborough, Ont.

Toronto opened the day with a 14-12 victory over the Queen's Gaels before defeating the Guelph Gryphons 12-5.

Third-year attacker Sarah Jamieson led the Blues over the Gaels, scoring nine goals in the win. Jessica Kras and Melissa Holland each had two goals, while Megan Keane had a single tally in the win.

Jamieson continued to shine versus the Gryphons, leading the Blues with four goals and four assists.

Holland and Sarah Hill each scored three goals, while Zoe Chad had two and Jeska Eedens had one in the victory.

Daniela Soloman earned both wins in net for the Blues.

The Blues are back in action next Saturday, October 3 as they travel to Kingston, Ont., for two games against the Trent Excalibur and UOIT Ridgebacks.
