DEFENDING CHAMPS 2-1 AFTER DAY 2

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's curling team are 2-1 as Day 2 of the 2015 OUA championships wrapped up Friday night in Guelph.

The OUA defending champion Blues opened the bonspiel with a 9-2 win over Algoma, before coming away with a 6-4 victory over Queen's on Thursday.

Toronto then ran into a hot UOIT Ridgebacks team, falling 9-4 on Friday.

"We are still a solid second in our pool and looking for better things tomorrow," said Varsity Blues head coach John Rudd.

The Blues continue preliminary round action with matches versus UOIT, Guelph, Carleton and Western.
