BLUES TOP MARAUDERS AT VARSITY POOL

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's water polo team closed out its regular season with a 11-7 home win versus McMaster on Saturday.

The Blues forged ahead 3-0 with a minute to go in the opening quarter.  However, McMaster clawed back to tie it up 3-3 two minutes into the second quarter.

Unphased, the Blues pulled ahead 6-3 by the end of the half.  Each team scored a goal in the third quarter.  The Blues then went off for four unanswered goals to start the fourth quarter to seal the victory.

Sophomore Ali Kraft (California) led the way with a hat trick.  Ana Miroslavic (Toronto ) and rookie standout Megan MacCormac  ( Ottawa) netted two markers each. A trio of freshmen (Natalie Blouin - Winnipeg; Katie Rich - Vancouver; Emily Kelvin-Davies - Fraser Valley) scored once.

The win allowed the Blues to finish the regular season with a perfect 10-0 record.

The Varsity Blues return to action at the 2015 OUA championship, November 27-29, hosted by McMaster in Hamilton, Ont.
