The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's water polo team closed out its regular season with a 11-7 home win versus McMaster on Saturday.
The Blues forged ahead 3-0 with a minute to go in the opening quarter. Â However, McMaster clawed back to tie it up 3-3 two minutes into the second quarter.
Unphased, the Blues pulled ahead 6-3 by the end of the half. Â Each team scored a goal in the third quarter. Â The Blues then went off for four unanswered goals to start the fourth quarter to seal the victory.
Sophomore Ali Kraft (California) led the way with a hat trick.  Ana Miroslavic (Toronto ) and rookie standout Megan MacCormac  ( Ottawa) netted two markers each. A trio of freshmen (Natalie Blouin - Winnipeg; Katie Rich - Vancouver; Emily Kelvin-Davies - Fraser Valley) scored once.
The win allowed the Blues to finish the regular season with a perfect 10-0 record.
The Varsity Blues return to action at the 2015 OUA championship, November 27-29, hosted by McMaster in Hamilton, Ont.Â
