WOMEN`S SOCCER FALLS IN OSHAWA

Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women`s soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to the UOIT Ridgebacks on Sunday night (Oct. 4) in Oshawa, Ont.

With the loss, the Blues drop to 6-3-1 and sit in third place in the OUA East division.

The Ridgebacks scored two goals in the first half to secure the victory.

"It's always tough when you come to UOIT," said Varsity Blues head coach Stuart Neely. "They are a strong team overall. We didn't catch any breaks tonight and it's important to get those. We need to be more active off the ball and see things a little quicker. I think it's important to note however, that we played well enough to win tonight but other factors were involved out of our control. While disappointed with the result, I'm enthused by the performance of the group."

The Varsity Blues return to action next Saturday, October 10 when they head to Ottawa to take on the Carleton Ravens. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
