BLUES DOWN MARAUDERS

The Varsity Blues women's water polo team travelled to Hamilton, Ont., to take on the McMaster Marauders and came away with a 9-5 victory on Saturday, October 24.

The win keeps the Blues OUA perfect record streak intact at two and a half years.

The Blues jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back.

Junior Ana Miroslavic (Toronto), sophomore Ali Kraft (California) and freshman Megan MacCormac (Ottawa) led the way with two goals apiece.  Single markers went to senior Stefanie Chapman (Vancouver) and freshmen Katie Rich (Vancouver) and Emily Kelvin-Davies (Fraser Valley, B.C.).

The game was the first look for the Blues of the pool that the OUA Finals will be held in.  This is critical as the McMaster pool is a much narrower course than the other courses in the league.

The Blues were also busy with eight recruits in town for the weekend including five players from California and one each from Nevada, Connecticut and Quebec. The players are hoping to see these recruits in Toronto next September.

Toronto's next action is Halloween weekend at the Queens Invitational.
