The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's lacrosse team defeated the host UOIT Ridgebacks 14-11 to place seventh overall at the 2015 OUA championship, October 23-25, in Oshawa.
The Blues opened the tournament with a narrow 8-7 loss to the Laurier Golden Hawks in quarter-final action. Toronto followed that up with a 6-5 loss to the Trent Excalibur in the consolation semifinal, but bounced back to end the season on a high note, topping UOIT in the seventh-place game.
Trent 6, Toronto 5Melissa Holland led the Blues with two goals and one assist, with Mary Anne Meerasabeer, Chenez Power and Emily Boyer adding single tallies in the loss.

Sarah Jamieson topped Toronto with five goals, with Melissa Holland notching three on the day. Mary Anne Meerasabeer scored two, Christine Neatby, Tasha Watkins and Sarah Hill each scored one in the win.Â
