The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's lacrosse team fell 8-7 to the Laurier Golden Hawks on Day 1 of the 2015 OUA championship (Oct. 23) in Oshawa, Ont.

With the loss, the Blues move to the consolation side of the tournament and will play in a consolation semifinal tomorrow at 10:45 a.m.

Christine Neatby, Melissa Holland and Sarah Jamieson led the Blues with two goals apiece, with Megan Keane adding a single tally in the loss.

Mary Anne Meerasabeer earned player of the game honours.
