RAVENS EDGE BLUES IN OTTAWA

Box Score

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to the Carleton Ravens on Saturday, October 10 in Ottawa.

With the loss, the Blues drop to 6-4-1 and remain in fourth place, three points out of second, in the OUA East division.

The Ravens controlled the possession in the first half, with fifth-year goalkeeper Sara Petrucci denying anything that came her way. The game remained scoreless at the half.

Toronto had a great chance to go ahead early in the second half as rookie Natasha Klasios pressured the keeper on a long free kick, but she sent the ball just over the net.

Carleton managed to open the scoring minutes later when Vanessa Germano found the back of the net for what stood as the game-winner.

The Varsity Blues return to action tomorrow as they take on the Gee-Gees in Ottawa. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
