ZWIMPFER, BLUES BEAT RAMS

Box Score Christine Zimpfer's goal in the 69th minute led the University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over the Ryerson Rams on Saturday afternoon at Monarch Park.
 
With the win, the Blues improve to 5-2-1 and remain tied with Carleton for third place in the OUA East division.
 
Zimpfer sent a long shot at the net that beat the Rams keeper and found the back right corner of the net. Overall, the Blues outshot the Rams 12-9 in the contest, with Toronto goalkeeper Sara Petrucci making four saves in the victory.
 
The Varsity Blues return to action this Wednesday, October 1 as they head to Oshawa to take on the UOIT Ridgebacks. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
