With the win, the Blues improve to 4-1-1, while RMC drops to 0-5-1 on the year.

Blues leading scorer Claudia Piazza (Brampton, Ont.) opened the scoring in the 10th minute. The second-year midfielder received a through ball and made no mistake in notching her third goal in as many games.

Rookie striker Zoe Carty of Ottawa added to Toronto's lead in the 36th minute, pressuring the goalkeeper into giving up the ball and firing it into the opposite corner of the net.

Toronto led 2-0 at the half.

Second-year striker Brenda Murillo (Richmond, B.C.) put the Blues up by three in the 51st minute when she sent a shot from the left side of the pitch past the RMC goalkeeper and into the net.

Toronto goalkeeper Sara Petrucci made three saves in her third shutout win of the season.

The Varsity Blues return to action tomorrow afternoon as they host the Queen's Gaels at Varsity Centre. Game time is set for 1 p.m. The match is free and open to the public and will also be streamed live on OUA.tv.
