The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's curling team dropped to 2-4 with losses to the Laurier Golden Hawks and host Regina Cougars on Day 3 of the 2014 CIS/CAA curling championships on Friday.

The Blues got out to a good start, earning single points in the first and third ends. The OUA champion Golden Hawks and skip Carly Howard fought back with two points in the fourth end and the two conference rivals remained tied at 2-2 midway through the game.

Toronto took the lead with one in the seventh, but Howard and the Hawks earned four in the eighth and stole one in the ninth to earn the 7-3 victory. Â

Draw 6: Toronto vs Regina
Skip Lorraine Schneider got the host Regina Rams out to a 3-0 start after three ends, but Danielle Bourque and the Blues added a single in the fourth. Regina took a commanding 7-1 lead with four points in the fifth end.

The Blues responded with a combined three points in the sixth and eighth ends, but it wasn't enough in the 9-4 loss.
