The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's curling team had a strong finish to the first half of their season, winning two games at the U of T Intercollegiate Bonspiel on Saturday (Nov. 30) at the Thornhill Curling Club.

The Blues kicked off their tournament with a 9-1 triumph against the Mohawk Mountaineers, then carried that positive momentum into their next match against the Humber Hawks, which led to a 7-5 win. Their lone loss on the day came in their final game, a 2-1 defeat at the hands of the York Lions.

The Blues move to a 2-4 record in OUA conference play and 4-4 on the season.

Toronto is back in action on Jan. 4-5 as they travel to Hamilton, Ont. for the McMaster Bonspiel.
