The University of Toronto women's curling team opened their 2024-25 season at the Guelph Invitational this past weekend (Nov. 9-10).
The Blues came up short in their first game on Saturday, November 9, dropping their contest against the Laurier Golden Hawks by a 9-8 score. Their next game was a close 6-5 victory against the McMaster Marauders, which saw the Blues prevail on a draw to the button after being tied through eight ends. Toronto closed out Saturday with a 6-4 win over the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks.
The Blues wrapped up Sunday with a 7-2 loss to the Brock Badgers and a 7-2 loss to the Trent Excalibur in the C event final.
Toronto leaves the weekend with a 2-3 record on the 2024-25 campaign. Next up for the Blues is the U of T Bonspiel, which they will host on Saturday, November 30 at the Thornhill Golf & Country Club.
