The University of Toronto Varsity Blues are on the right track as Day 2 of the OUA curling championships wrapped up on Friday night (Feb. 14) at Guelph Curling Club.

Toronto's women opened the tournament with a 12-6 loss to the Guelph Gryphons, but have bounced back with three straight wins over the UOIT Ridgebacks (9-3), Waterloo Warriors (7-6) and Queen's Gaels (6-2). U of T, led by Danielle Bourque, are now 3-1 and in a four-way tie for first place in Pool A.

The Blues men, skipped by Evan Lilly, are 2-1 after Day 2. Toronto opened the championship with a narrow 7-5 loss to the Laurier Golden Hawks, but rebounded on Day 2 with a 6-2 victory over the Carleton Ravens and a 7-6 win over the Western Mustangs. The Blues sit in second place in Pool B behind Laurier (3-0).

Day 3 of the OUA curling championships kicks off with Draw 7 tomorrow at 8:30 a.m.
