The University of Toronto Varsity Blues field hockey team hosts their final three games of the regular season this weekend, October 18-19, at Back Campus Fields.
The Blues take on the Queen's Gaels on Saturday at 4 p.m., in their Think Pink game. Members of the team and alumnae will cut their hair in support of Breast Cancer research.
Toronto then faces the York Lions and Waterloo Warriors at 12:30 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively, on Sunday.
U of T is a perfect 9-0-0 and have already solidified a bye into the OUA semifinal round. As hosts of the CIS championship, Oct. 30-Nov. 2, the Blues have secured a spot on the national stage, but look to reclaim the OUA banner after a one-year hiatus last season.
Six Varsity Blues sit among the top 10 OUA goal scorers. Third-year standout Alison Lee leads all players in the province with 12 goals in nine games, while Anna McNeil has notched eight goals and team co-captain Alex Thicke has seven.
Overall the Blues have outscored their opponents 45-5, with goalie Madeleine Cho earning six shut outs on the year.Â
