BLUES DROP CLOSE BATTLE WITH BADGERS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's lacrosse team dropped a narrow 13-12 decision to the Brock Badgers on Saturday, October 10 in Hamilton, Ont.
 
With the loss, the Blues drop to 4-2-1 with five games remaining in the regular season.
 
A low-scoring first half saw Toronto lead 5-4. The two teams went back and forth in the second half and Brock scored three goals in less than three minutes to secure the lead for good.
 
Taryn Grieder, Sarah Jamieson and Katie McCurdy each tallied three goals, with Kelly Robinson, Melissa Holland and Larissa Boychuk each adding a single tally in the loss.
 
The Varsity Blues return to action next Saturday, October 18 as they head to Peterborough, Ont., to take on the Trent Excalibur at 10 a.m.
