PIAZZA, BLUES EDGE PALADINS

First-year midfielder Claudia Piazza scored the lone goal of the game as the University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's soccer team defeated the RMC Paladins 1-0 on Saturday afternoon (Sept. 21) in Kingston, Ont.
 
With the win, the Blues improve to 4-2-1, while the Paladins drop to 1-5-1 on the season. 
 
Piazza of Brampton, Ont., scored in the 21st minute, beating RMC goalkeeper Morgan Hartlen.
 
Blues goalkeeper Sara Petrucci of Bolton, Ont., earned her fifth-straight shut out in the victory.
 
The Varsity Blues are back in action tomorrow as they take on the No. 2 Queen's Gaels in Kingston. Game time is set for 1 p.m.

The University of Toronto is the proud host of the 2013 CIS women's soccer championship, November 7-10, at Varsity Centre.
