The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's tennis team defeated the UOIT Ridgebacks 5-2 to open their 2013 regular season campaign on Friday night (Sept. 13) at Varsity Centre.

U of T took all three doubles matches handily, with 8-3, 8-5, and 8-3 victory in the No. 1 to 3 spots, respectively.

The Ridgebacks were able to take two points in the No. 1 and 2 singles matches, but the Blues Christian Krustev, Kevin Mok, Graham Huelscher and Peter Krol won in the 3-6 positions to secure the victory.

The Varsity Blues return to action on Saturday, September 14 as they host the McGill Redmen at the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
