The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's lacrosse team capped off their 2013 regular season with a narrow 12-11 loss to the Brock Badgers on Sunday morning (Oct. 27) at Varsity Centre.

Toronto ends the season with a 9-3 record heading into next weekend's OUA championship, hosted by the Queen's Gaels, in Kingston, Ont.

The Blues held an 8-5 lead at halftime, but the Badgers came storming back to outscore the home team 7-3 and Kassidy Doherty notched the game-winner in the final minute of play.

Taryn Grieder and Larissa Boychuk led the Blues with three goals each, while first-year standout Sarah Jamieson had two on the day. Mary Anne Meerasabeer, Kelly Robinson and Melissa Holland each added single tallies in the loss.

The OUA championship seeding and schedule will be announced early next week. Check back to varsityblues.ca for schedule updates.
