The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's soccer team hosts the Carleton Ravens in OUA quarter-final action on Sunday, October 27 at Varsity Centre.
The game will be streamed live at GoBlues.tv, starting at 1 p.m.
Toronto finished the season with a 10-3-3 record and in second place in the OUA East division, allowing them a straight route to the OUA quarter-finals.
The Ravens will be out for revenge after the Blues notched a huge 3-2 come back win in their final regular season game last week to pass Carleton (9-3-4) for the quarter-final bye.
Fourth-year striker and co-captain Aisha Lewis tore through the Ravens defence, netting a hat trick and earning athlete of the week honours. The Mississauga, Ont., native leads the Blues and ranked fourth in OUA scoring with nine goals.
Carleton defeated the Nipissing Lakers, 3-2, on Wednesday night to earn their spot in Sunday's match.
Toronto holds a 24-12-9 head-to-head record over Carleton since their first meeting in 1987; however, in their two post-season meetings in history, the Ravens haven proven victorious with two 1-0 victories (2007, 2008).
The Blues last made the OUA semi-finals in 2004, where they lost to Queen's 1-0 and went on to win the bronze medal. Â
Toronto has made the semifinals three times in the past 20 years and look to claim their first OUA title in team history this season.
The University of Toronto is the proud host of the 2013 CIS women's soccer championship, November 7-10, at Varsity Centre.
