The No. 10 University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's soccer team tied the Queen's Gaels 1-1 on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 12) at Varsity Centre.
Toronto's second straight tie sees them remain in second place in the OUA East division with an 8-2-3 record with three regular season games to go.
Second-year striker LaShaunna Harper opened the scoring in the only the second minute of the match, as she potted her third goal of the season.
The Gaels evened the score in the 38th minute as Melissa Jung headed the ball into the net.
Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the second half. Third-year goalkeeper Sara Petrucci (Bolton, Ont.) made three saves on the day.
 
The Varsity Blues return to action tomorrow afternoon (Oct. 13) as they host the RMC Paladins at Varsity Centre. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
