BLUES, EXCALIBUR END IN SCORELESS DRAW

The No. 10 Varsity Blues women’s soccer team played to a scoreless draw versus the Trent Excalibur on Wednesday night in Peterborough, Ont.

With the tie, the Blues are now 4-1-1 and sit in a three-way tie for second place in the OUA East division.

U of T outshot Trent 9-6 over 90 minutes of action, with neither team able to find the back of the net.

Second-year goalkeeper Monica Maher of Oakville, Ont., made six saves in the tie.

The Varsity Blues return to the field this Saturday, September 24 as they travel to Kingston, Ont., to take on the RMC Paladins.  Game time is set for 1 p.m.
