The Varsity Blues men’s and women’s curling competed at the 2011 OUA championships, February 17-20, hosted by the Waterloo Warriors at Guelph Curling Club.

The Varsity Blues men’s and women’s curling competed at the 2011 OUA championships, February 17-20, hosted by the Waterloo Warriors at Guelph Curling Club.

The Varsity Blues women’s team finished in seventh place with a 3-5 record over the four-day event. The Blues handed the Brock Badgers their only loss of the round robin and nearly defeated eventual champion Laurier Golden Hawks as well. Top performers were skip Danielle Bourque and vice Nicole Seto.

Despite going 1-7 and placing 10th, Toronto’s men played extremely well. The Blues dropped five of their games on the last rock and were led by skip Matt Hardman as well as vice Mitch Cahill.
