BLUES SCORE LATE, SQUEAK PAST PALADINS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women’s soccer team remains unscathed as they slipped past the RMC Paladins 1-0 on Sunday, October 4 in Kingston, Ontario.

The game was a back-and-forth affair and remained scoreless for almost the entire 90 minutes - it wasn’t until the 89th minute of play that the stalemate was broken.

Juliana Bergin (Baxter, Ont.) sealed the victory for the Blues with an incredible diving header that pushed the ball past the Paladins goalkeeper Olivia Clarke (Caledon East, Ont.) and into the back of the net.

With the win, Toronto is still the only undefeated team in the OUA and sits in third place in the East division with a record of 7-0-2.

You can catch the next Varsity Blues home game on Wednesday, October 9, when the Varsity Blues host the Ryerson Rams at Varsity Centre. Game time is scheduled for 6:45 p.m.
