Third-year humanities student Laura Shaw scored five goals as the University of Toronto Varsity Blues women’s water polo team came away with a 16-9 victory over the McMaster Marauders on Friday, October 31 in Hamilton.

In addition to Shaw’s (Coquitlam, B.C.) offensive output, the Blues had three other multiple goal scorers against the Marauders. Casey Pottier (Kitchener, Ont.) notched four goals, 2007-08 OUA first team all-star Nicole Brown (Burlington, Ont.) tallied three and Scarborough native Brittany Sinclair added two. Pottier and Brown are now tied for first in OUA scoring with 19 goals each.

Regan Reid (Kitchener, Ont.) and Danielle Zanardo (Toronto, Ont.) added singles in the Blues victory.

The Varsity Blues host the York Lions on Wednesday, November 5 at Varsity Pool. Game time is set for 8:30 p.m.
